Our Mission
The mission of Teaching Today is to give teachers practical strategies and materials that encourage and inspire excellence and innovation in teaching. To accomplish this, we will:
- Create an online warehouse of free tips, tools, and resources that are easy-to-use and pedagogically sound.
- Facilitate an online community where teachers can find, communicate, and share ideas about teaching.
- Provide in-depth articles for teachers to read more about the issues that concern them.
Our History
Teaching Today is a Web site from the Glencoe/ McGraw-Hill Secondary division. It is designed to meet the needs of teachers from all disciplines by leveraging the extensive resources and expertise available from all of Glencoe's secondary subject areas. Teaching Today launched in Fall of 2000 and was renovated in the Fall of 2007.

Filled with cross-curricular activities and real-world connections, Digital Communication Tools helps students understand how digital tools such as PDAs, Tablet PCs, and laptops are revolutionizing the way we perform everyday tasks. In addition to providing information on relevant topics such as wireless networks, firewalls and packets, voice mail, and disaster recovery plans, Digital Communication Tools also includes activities to correlate lessons with language arts, social studies, science, and math.
