Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Print this page Save this page
This is a method of teaching children with autism. It is based on the idea that appropriate behavior can be taught using scientific principles. Speech, academics and life skills are more likely to be repeated behavior to responses that reward or reinforce and less likely to continue behaviors that are not rewarded. Eventually, the reinforcement is reduced so that the student can learn without constant rewards.
